Preschool Field Trip to Underwater World

The preschool kids went on a field trip to Underwater World and it was a great experience. The morning and afternoon classes went together. The kids loved riding on a big yellow school bus.
They started out looking at a koi pond and snapping turtles. The "We Bite" sign on the tank was great. The kids understood the warning and no one tried petting the turtles.

Then we were off and running into the tunnel. The kids loved being surrounded by water. It was amazing to watch the sharks and string rays swim right over our heads.

After the tunnel was smaller aquariums filled with starfish and seahorses. Nicole announced that she was going to be a mermaid when she grows up.

The seahorses were a favorite. Elizabeth was telling us which were the mommies, daddies and babies.

The open touch and feel tanks were a lot of fun for our little adventurers. Laura, Mason, Elizabeth and Nicole all touched starfish.

Only Nicole and Mason were brave enough to "pet" the giant crab with it's giant pinchers.
