Wednesday- Music Class

Ms. Kristen came on Wednesday and taught the kids the hokey-pokey and they learned about different instruments and the sounds they made, like the trumpet, violin, flute, timpani . The sang a counting song and played different instruments to a roller coaster song. I added video of the kids playing instruments to the roller coaster song- enjoy!

Wednesday- Monkeying around

The kids loved painting their monkey notebooks. They painted the monkey on front and when they dried they painted fun patterns and designs on the back. Then when we were outside playing, they played monkeys on the climber- hanging upside down and making monkey noises. It was funny and very fitting.

Wednesday- Happy Birthday

On Wednesday, we celebrated Laura's 4th birthday. We made and decorated giant party hats. Unfortunately, the humidity from the rain kept the glitter glue from drying and we couldn't wear them. The kids did enjoy decorating them. We sang happy birthday and enjoyed birthday cake together. Laura had fun opening her gifts and having her cards read to her.

Wednesday: Travel Tots

Ms. Tee came on Wednesday and the kids learned about Russia. They had fun playing games, learning new words for Grandma and Grandpa and doing a Faberge egg craft project.

Wednesday- Very busy & fun

We packed today full of fun- a trip to the farmers market, playing outside, music class, making pasta, and playing dress up. This afternoon, the kids made their own pasta from scratch, mixing it, kneading it, rolling it through the pasta machine and enjoying eating it at snack time.

Wednesday- Farmers Market Kids Day

The kids really enjoyed a morning trip to the farmers market for kids day. They loved having their faces painted, jumping in the bounce house and sharing cotton candy. We also enjoyed buying fresh sweet corn and cucumbers for lunch. The kids are more likely to eat their veggies if they pick them out at the farmers market.

Wednesday- Music Class

The preschool kids had music class today with Ms. Kristin. They learned a song about opposites, played percussion & rhythm instruments, and played a follow directions game with bean bags- they tried to balance the bean bag their head and sit down at the same time. They also got to play the guitar at the end of class. Everyone did really well in class after such a long break. We are looking forward to incorporating the two year old kids into class this fall.

Monday- Birthday Party Fun

We celebrated Hannah's 3rd birthday on Monday. We decorated birthday crowns, enjoyed singing happy birthday to her and having cupcakes together to celebrate.
