Last Week's Christmas Party Photos

Finally have time to post the photos from our Christmas Party. The kids had fun playing games, eating pizza and cupcakes, watching "Charlie Brown's Christmas" and opening gifts. I love how the picture plates turned out. The kids had a great time getting dressed up for the photos but they had no idea what I was going do with the pictures. It took several weeks for our order to arrive but it was worth the wait! The girls received personalized Disney Princess plates and the boys received Cars plates.

Working on Christmas Crafts

The kids are putting together Christmas presents to give to Mom & Dad. They have been working really hard on them. They love working on projects and anything messy is great fun!

Haley & Hannah making birthday cards for Elizabeth &
Myles making birthday card for his Dad.

Working on Picture frames for Mom & Dad- Wednesday

Decorating the wrapped presents- stamps & ink: not as messy as paint!

Busy Thursday

We had a very busy Thursday- celebrating Elizabeth's fourth birthday, music class, and working on our Christmas projects. Next up is Preston's second birthday right after Christmas- we'll have to celebrate after Christmas break!
Here are some fun photos from Elizabeth's birthday.

Music Class on Thursday

I thought I would try and upload video from music class so you can actually hear the kids singing with Kristin. They really enjoy class and love participating. The video is the welcome song they sing "Hello everybody, how are you." In class, they get to play a variety of instruments, they learn the names and what each instrument sounds like. They have to be patient and wait their turn. They do really well for preschoolers ages 2-4 and one kindergartner! Have fun watching the kids in class!

Great Before & After Photos

Today was pretend play & dress-up day. We have a great selection of costumes for the kids-animals, princesses, chef, doctor, cowboy, pirates, knights, and a dinosaur. I have been keeping them in a tub- which the kids dump out and spread everywhere. It works but it looks like a hurricane has hit the playroom. We had a new costume carousel, purchased with grant money. The kids helped me organize it and learn how to hang things up when they are done- the after picture. They love that it turns and they can see all the fun costumes without stepping on them.

We had fun at snack time today too. We were making the alphabet out of string cheese. Silly but educational!
BEFORE- what a mess! After- Now we're organized!

Frozen Monday

The kids ate their breakfast this morning and went downstairs and made their own "pretend" breakfast. It was very cute, I think we have a few future chefs. They actually played very nicely today.
I had to explain that even through the sun is shining, it is really cold outside and we can't play outside. We had a fun morning of playing and starting on our Christmas crafts.

Sleigh bells ring...

Music class today, Kristen brought sleigh bells and bean bags. They had fun trying to balance the bean bags on their noses, arms, legs, and shaking them to make music. The kids were surprised at how loud and heavy the sleigh bells are.

We played outside in the morning,. We played bury Myles in the snow & freeze our noses and cheeks on the swings. It doesn't matter how cold it is the kids still want to swing.

Wacky Wednesday

The kids were a little wacky today so we went out in the cold to play. They did not last very long outside, it is very cold today! But they really needed the fresh air and exercise.

We also made pizza for lunch today- one of the kids favorite things to do. We make it hearty and healthy with a whole wheat crust and lots of tomato sauce. They have a fun time making it and loved eating their hard work.

My Snow Angels

The temperature was great for fun in the snow! The kids had fun with little shovels, plowing snow off the driveway and little sleds for sliding. The little ones were the first to get cold and want to go inside. Myles and Laura stayed out side another twenty minutes playing in front of the kitchen windows. They are true Minnesotans! They were playing so nicely outside. I told them they could come in when they wanted too, as long as they stayed where I could see them. The other kids could not understand why they did not want to come inside. Everyone else was cold and wanted hot chocolate.
