Making Christmas Cookies and Dough Ornaments

We started making Christmas cookies and dough ornaments. The kids love rolling out their own dough with their mini rolling pins and cutting out cookies with the cookie cutters. Once we were done making sugar cookies, we switched to making dough ornaments. The dough for the ornaments is a bit harder to roll out and we use more detailed cookie cutters for the ornaments. It is funny to watch the kids try and sneak a taste of the ornament dough, I always warn them that the dough is very salty and doesn't taste good like the cookie dough but they try it anyway. We will paint the ornaments and frost the cookies next week- the messy but fun part!
