First Time at the Park without Snow

Spring has finally arrived and we were able to go to the park with our trikes and bikes and no snow!

Swing Time at the Park

We had a great time playing at the park on the one nice day last week. We have to enjoy every minute of sunshine and get out as much as we can before the snow flies and sidewalks become impassable. The kids love the tire swing at this park and had a great time.

Out and About

The weather has been wonderful and the kids love our time outside. Today, we headed to the "dinosaur park" as the kids call it. It is a little bit of a walk but it is nice to play with different playground equipment. We pack a snack and drink and bring our own toys. The kids love digging in the sand with shovels and pails. I have a small sand box in the backyard but the park is a lot more fun- a giant sandbox! So tonight might be a good bath night. We try to leave to sand at the park but somehow it ends up everywhere- gritty hair, filled shoes, and in pockets. They even "fed" the dinosaur a healthy amount of sand. They kept saying he was hungry!

Musical Wednesday

Music class today. They sang a fun song with beanbags and pretended their beanbags were a bunch of different animals and things. They played a freeze game with their instruments and did a great job stopping when the music stopped. Great job following directions! Music class will be on Wednesday's now in preparation for our fall preschool schedule. We are very happy Ms Kristin was able to accommodate our changing schedule.

We also played at the park, enjoyed the sunshine and room to run, run, run. The made Easter cards for Mom & Dad and feel in love with their Easter Bunny photos. Hopefully tomorrow's weather is even nicer for our party!

Warm Weather- Yippee!

We have been enjoying the wonderful warm weather. The park across the street is actually dry and the kids love being able to play at the park again. They love riding the trikes, bikes, and big wheels again, too. I feel like we have come out of hibernation.

Turkey Tuesday

We finished our Thanksgiving turkeys today. They're super cute. The kids are excited to take them home. The weather was pretty nice today. We spent an hour at the park playing. The kids loved getting out in the sunshine again. It will be a busy day tomorrow- no school for the big kids so they will be here to energize everyone. We have some fun projects planned for tomorrow too.

Nature Walk

On Monday, we went for a nature walk to collect things for an art project. The kids found pine cones, pine needle, leaves, grass, milkweed seed pods, and of course dandelions. We enjoyed the park trails and relatively nice weather.

Beautiful Day!

We went to the Dinosaur Park today and the kids loved it! They all played so nicely at the park, no problems throwing sand or not sharing. I was in shock! Of course, I forgot the camera so there is no proof of this. I did remember the sand pails, shovels, snack, Holly & Nicole's blankets, first aid kit, extra diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, cell phone and all the kids. The girls were all playing nicely- digging in the sand and making sand castles. I think Myles & Mason were trying to dig a hole to china but that's typical for boys. But they were working together, so that is all that matters. Even the little ones were carrying pails around full of sand. If everyone is a little gritty tonight, you will know why!
